VAT2000 is a new generation of high performance Vector AC drives. Between 10% and 30% smaller than the current range and using the latest 32bits microprocessors, the new range actually covers power ratings from 0.4kW to 315kW in Constant Torque, and up to 370kW in Variable Torque applications. A useful multi-mode control, performs the drive as an Advanced Torque Control, Sensorless Vector, Sensor Vector and a Permanent Magnet Motor Drive allowing all things to all applications. This is complemented with an Auto- tuning function allowing automatic set of critical parameters, independently for each control mode. The VAT2000 matches exceptional control range of up to 1:1000, with speed accuracy of 0.01% and response of 30-40 rad/sec. Other key features included as standard are an IP54 detachable keypad with programmable rotary knob (input selector dial), RS485 communications, selectable NPN/PNP inputs, built in dynamic braking up to 7.5kW, PID controller, Soft Sound, Multi-pump control and much more. As well as satisfying industry's requirement for a top performance drive, the VAT2000 is hailed as a truly environmentally friendly drive. Coupled with a PM motor this drive can offer significant increase in energy efficiency, saving energy costs. The careful selection of materials mean that the drives plastic components are free of harmful dioxins, and a new Soft Sound performance significantly reduces noise pollution by randomly altering the carrier frequency during operation.
