GE's advanced
ASTAT Plus solid
state soft
starter is the
industry's one
of the most
featured digital
soft starters.
It is designed
to soft start
and stop
standard AC
induction motors
from 5.5KW to
850KW with a
maximum voltage
rating of
500VAC, and have
been designed
according IEC,
UL&CSA standards
and in
compliance with
the CE, EMC and
LV directives.
ASTAT Plus built
in a keypad and
a digital
alphanumeric
display for
indications such
metering data,
operation
status, and
fault codes
Besides the Soft
Starter,
traditional
features, the
ASTAT plus
includes
advanced
functions like
Pump Control,
programmable
I/O, Lock-Out
which prevents
consecutive
starting, Slow
Speed with
reverse
operation,
Linear speed by
tacho feedback
and much more,
all included as
standard.
Both motor and
drive are full
protected by an
electronic
overload
function which
features Class
10, 20 and NEMA
10,20,30 all
selectable by
the user. This
in conjunction
with an
automatic limit
function, and a
motor service
factor function
performs a wide
range of
possibilities to
exploit the
ASTAT Plus
capabilities.
In addition,
ASTAT Plus
includes as
standard a
communication
feature, carried
out through a
standard RS485
serial port.
Optional
Profibus or
DeviceNet
modules are also
available.
